Question 1

What is Mnadani and who operates it in Tanzania?

Accepted Answer

Mnadani (mnadani.co.tz) is Tanzania's premier multi-vendor escrow marketplace, developed and operated by Allotropic Ltd. It connects verified independent sellers, dealerships, retailers, and wholesalers across Tanzania with buyers for electronics, vehicles, real estate, fashion, wholesale commodities, and live auctions with 100% mobile money escrow protection.

Question 2

What product categories are available on the Mnadani multi-vendor marketplace?

Accepted Answer

Mnadani hosts multiple vendor verticals across Tanzania: Consumer Electronics (smartphones, iPhone 17 series, laptops, TVs), Automotive & Vehicles (cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, spare parts), Real Estate & Properties (land plots, apartments, residential houses, commercial rentals), Fashion & Apparel, Home & Construction, and Wholesale bulk lots.

Question 3

How does the multi-vendor escrow payment protect Tanzanian buyers and sellers?

Accepted Answer

When a buyer pays via Vodacom M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Mixx by Yas (Tigo), HaloPesa, or Bank Card, the payment is securely locked in Allotropic Ltd / Mnadani's escrow account. The vendor is notified to dispatch or handover the product. The buyer has an inspection window to verify the goods. Upon buyer approval, funds are instantly released to the vendor. If goods are damaged, missing, or fraudulent, the buyer receives a 100% refund.

Question 4

How do live online auctions, proxy bidding, and anti-sniping work on Mnadani in Tanzania?

Accepted Answer

Mnadani runs live online auctions across Tanzania. Buyers can place live bids or set an automated Proxy Bidding ceiling where the system incrementally bids on their behalf up to their maximum budget without overpaying. To eliminate unfair bot sniping, Mnadani features automated Anti-Sniping time extensions (if a bid occurs in the closing minutes, the countdown extends). Winning bidders checkout safely through mobile money escrow with a 3-day inspection guarantee.

Question 5

Can businesses and individual vendors sell cars, real estate, or electronics on Mnadani auctions?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any verified seller, company, or dealership in Tanzania can register as a vendor on Mnadani. Vendors undergo multi-tier KYC verification and can list fixed-price items, host live auctions with real-time bidding, or configure wholesale bulk volume discount tiers.
